Every year, L’Atelier de Danse turns back time with an annual Bal Costumé, where 800 people dance to classical music and elegant costumes of the 19th century style. Founded in 1984, the school has extensive knowledge in the art of dance and its historical significance. Over the years, the school has been requested to recreate historical dances at various assemblies. It also appeared in two motion pictures that were set in Florence.

Since January 1985, Donald Francis opened up courses such as Viennese Valzer, 19th Century Dances, and British Island Folk Dances for L’Atelier de Danse. The school currently offers ballet, jazz and modern dance, Argentine tango, and theatrical workshops.
